Could you please tell me where the Ohio grounding group is located?
Thanks for writing. The two places in Ohio that grounding groups worked were: Bowling Green and “Fort Wayne, in Northeast Indiana, near the Michigan and Ohio borders. This is serious flatland around here and the nearest substantial hills are in southern Indiana down near the Ohio River Valley more than 200 miles south. (there are no mountains in Indiana) However, on the highest elevation in the county, which happens to be the Continental Divide, within two miles of the hill is the confluence of the three rivers: St. Joseph River and St. Mary’s River which join 1 1/2 miles in downtown Fort Wayne and form the Maumee River. The elevation is only 781 feet, but from this altitude the water east of the hill runs into the Maumee, which flows to Lake Erie and eventually through the St. Lawrence Seaway to the Atlantic Ocean. The water west of the hill runs into the Eel River, then the Wabash River and on to the Ohio River, the Mississippi River and on to the Gulf of Mexico. Half-a-block from the site is where the beginning of the Wabash and Erie Canal basin was that connected the two waterways back in the early days before railroads.
